"The first time I came in here.. I was almost charged for a dinner plate instead of the lunch plate (meatloaf platter). The simple misunderstanding was fixed right away. The food was absolutely great and tasted like someone grandmother made it from scratch! This time I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli rice cheese casserole. MAN they didnt disappoint! This place is the king/queen of home cooking! I am a seasoned person so I did have to add a little salt and pepper... but I will be back everytime im around! The brown gravy is on que too, oh and the toast.... mwah!"

"I have been here a couple of times already and I must say this place doesn't disappoint! The chicken fried steak is deacent, I wish the batter and the meat had more flavor. However, their chef salad was amazing. I feel like they do take a little long, but over all its a good amd delicious restaurant!"

"My wife and I stopped in today for lunch, and was very impressed. The lunch special was chicken and dumplings with a huge piece of cornbread for only $8! It was probably the best jalapeno cornbread I've ever had. My wife got a bacon cheeseburger and it was on sourdough and it was really really good as well. We also grabbed a bag of cookies on our way out and they were amazing. My wife and I would highly recommend having a meal here if you were in the area!"

"Wow!!! We just ate at Michael and moms in orange grove Wait staff super friendly and kind Helpful Cooks were on point!!! Ordered chicken strips Regular burger double with Swiss cheese Fried fish and shrimp Although I feel the shrimp Could be better being as we live so close to the ocean They weren't bad Fish was good Tartar sauce good Really great atmosphere Flavorful!!!! We will be back over and over again!!!!"

"I work in the area and pass through town often. I heard from several locals about how good the food was so my coworker and I stopped by...... I ordered the large chicken fried steak and it was absolutely delicious. Then, I ordered dessert and it was mouthwatering! The price was on point for all the food I got. There was simply NOTHING to complain about. I can't wait to drive my family from Corpus to Orange Grove to have the same experience. Friendly staff & good small town cooking! Thank you "

"The chicken fried steak was delicious. I had fried okra and broccoli & cheese casserole. The okra was fried just right and the toast was golden brown. Everything was so good and the service was even better. Would drive the 45 minutes again!!"
